I developed the Android version of Inky Secure Mail, an email application that: filtered email, verified signed emails, encrypted email, detected phishing attempts, showed package delivery status inline, and other standard email functions. I used material design principals for the UI, integrated an embedded python interpreter with the NDK tools, and implemented various API connections including OAUTH, gmail, and maps.
Unfortunately, the competition in the email space was too strong, and the company pivoted to a single Exchange plugin and had a workforce reduction of about 80%. The email applications were removed from all stores and servers shut down.
